The EXXO Easy Chair is much more than a seat: it is an engineering feat reminiscent of the delicate art of origami. Designed by David Ericsson in 2023 as an experimental tribute to Swedish industry, it transforms the rigour of stainless steel into a living form.
Like a metallic bird ready to take flight, its streamlined structure is crafted from a sheet of polished steel, laser-cut and then folded with surgical precision into four distinct sections, simply riveted together. This pragmatic minimalism creates a silhouette that is as graphic as it is ethereal, where the mirror finish captures and distorts the surrounding space.
Each chair is a unique piece, shaped by the natural variations of the metal, and bears the manufacturer’s stamp, Bebó Objects, guaranteeing its authenticity. A radical, striking object for those who see design as a form of industrial poetry.
